The request for chrome or metal-free leathers has led us to alternative mineral tanning agents or organic tanning agents of various kinds.
The most widespread among organic tanning is undoubtedly glutaraldehyde.
It gives full and firm leather with good mechanical properties.
Compared to chromed leather, wet-white tanning requires a richer retanning to consolidate the collagen structure.
It has a lower light fastness so that pastel or white tones are penalized. To overcome this problem we propose an organic tanning agent with greater solidity.
